AI Fashion: The New Black AI now takes your own photos and videos into the studio

Published 19 September 2026

The studio generates; a brand also has a hard drive. The New Black AI now takes your own photos and videos straight into the studio, from the main grid, from a project or from the Shopify view, and they land where you sent them.

What changes

An Upload button sits where you work. Upload from the main grid and the file joins your creations; upload inside a project and it is filed in that project; upload from the Shopify view and it sits next to the product you were looking at. Imports now take videos as well as images.

How it works

1. Open the grid, a project or the Shopify view. 2. Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP, MP4, MOV or WebM. 3. Use it like any creation: as the product for Product to Model, the person for Virtual Try-On, the clip for Edit Video, or the file to publish to your networks.

Why it matters for a brand

Most of what a brand needs to work on already exists: last season's shoot, the packshots from the factory, a clip from a phone. Bringing them in at the point of use, rather than through a separate import screen, means the workflow starts from the real product and the real footage.
