Ads for a Fashion Store, One Screen: The New Black AI
Published 23 September 2026
A small fashion brand that advertises on Meta, Google, Pinterest and X opens four dashboards to answer one question: did last week's ads pay for themselves? Each dashboard has its own date picker, its own definition of a conversion, and its own way of counting a purchase the other three also claim. This article is about reading them on one screen, with the store's sales next to them, and what that changes in how you decide.

Why four dashboards give four different answers
Each network attributes a sale to itself when it can. A customer who saw a Pinterest pin on Monday, clicked a Google ad on Wednesday and bought on Friday is a purchase for Pinterest, a purchase for Google, and one order for the store. Add the different attribution windows and the different reporting delays, and the sum of the networks' "purchases" is always larger than the orders Shopify recorded. Reading each network alone makes every campaign look better than it is.
One window, one ruler
The Ads tab of the Store on The New Black AI puts the four networks under one time switch: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or a custom range up to 60 days back. For that window each network shows what it spent, what it counts as purchases or checkouts, and its return, each against the period of the same length just before. The store's own orders sit on the same page. The reading changes: a network whose declared purchases grew while the store's orders did not has taken credit for someone else's work.
Acting from the table
Once the reading is shared, the action can be too. Each campaign row on any of the four networks can be paused, resumed, or given a new daily budget, and the change is written to the network. A brand that finds on Sunday evening that one campaign burned its week can stop it from the same screen it read it on.
What to look at each week
- Spend by network against the store's orders, over the same seven days, not against the network's own conversions.
- The campaign whose return fell compared with the previous seven days: pause it or cut its budget before the next week starts.
- The product pages the ads send people to: their traffic, carts and orders in the products view. An ad that brings visitors to a page that does not convert is a page problem, not an ad problem.
- What the campaigns are showing: an ad creative wears out. New ad visuals and ad videos are made in the studio next door, from the same product photos.
Paid and organic in the same place
The same Store carries the social agenda for the organic posts on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, X, YouTube and TikTok. A drop planned for Thursday gets its posts and its ads planned on the same week view, and read afterwards with the same window.
Frequently asked questions
Which ad networks can a fashion store read in one place?+
Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, Pinterest Ads and X Ads, each connected from the Connectors page.
Do I need Shopify to use it?+
No. The Ads tab works with the ad accounts alone; connecting a Shopify store adds the sales and product figures beside the ads.
Can I change budgets from there?+
Yes. Pause, resume, or set a new daily budget per campaign, on any of the four networks.
Why is the store's order count lower than the networks' purchases?+
Because every network claims the purchases it touched, and one order is often touched by several. The store's count is the one that pays the bills.
Can an AI agent do this reading for me?+
The hired AI agents read the same Store figures a person reads, so you can ask one to tell you which campaign lost money last week.
