AI Fashion: The New Black AI Now Integrates with Google Search Console
Published 16 September 2026
Fashion brands run two tools that never talk to each other: the shop where the products live, and the Search Console where you find out what people typed to get there. The New Black AI now reads your Google Search Console inside your Store, on the same page as the visuals you generated for those products.

What the SEO tab shows
Open your Store and go to the SEO tab. It has two views.
Google Search lists your Search Console queries and the pages they land on: what people searched, how often you appeared, how often they clicked. This is the view that tells you which product pages earn their traffic and which ones are invisible.
Google Shopping shows what your free Shopping listings bring: impressions, clicks, click through rate, how many of your products Google approved, and a product by product table. That last number is the one most merchants never see. A product Google refused is a product that does not exist in Shopping, whatever your catalogue says.
Why this belongs next to your visuals
A fashion brand fixes its search performance with pictures more often than with words. A product page that appears for a query and gets no click usually has a weak first image, no video, or a thumbnail that says nothing at that size. When the query data sits in one tool and the image editor in another, nobody ever closes that loop.
Here the loop is one screen. You see the query, you see the page, and the studio that generates a new photo or a 360 video for that product is the same application, one tab away.
How to connect it
Go to Connectors in your account and connect Google Search Console. Connect Merchant Center as well if you sell through free Shopping listings, which is what fills the second view. Each card on the Store page tells you what it is waiting for, with a Connect button on the card itself, so you never have to guess which connection feeds which number.
What it changes in practice
Three habits become possible in one place:
- Find the queries where you appear a lot and get clicked rarely, then regenerate the first photo of those products.
- Check how many products Google approved for Shopping against how many you sell, and fix the ones that fell out.
- Read the week after a product shoot and see whether the new visuals moved the click through rate.
Frequently asked questions
Does The New Black AI change anything in my Search Console?+
No. The connection is read only. We read your queries, pages and totals to display them; nothing is written back to Google.
Do I need a Shopify store to use the SEO tab?+
No. The Store page opens without a Shopify store, and the Google views work on their own. Connecting Shopify adds the product side: your catalogue, your product pages and your sales.
Which Google connections does the Store use?+
Search Console for the Google Search view, Merchant Center for the Google Shopping view, and Google Analytics for the Traffic tab. Each one is a separate card in Connectors.
