Visual DNA: Train the AI on Your References: The New Black AI

A generic model produces generic fashion. The New Black AI trains on your references instead: upload the images that define a look, or give it a web page, and every design you generate afterwards follows that creative direction. The feature is called Visual DNA.

What Visual DNA does

The AI studies what you gave it and works out the DNA you are trying to capture: the silhouettes, the palette, the materials, the way the pieces are styled. Once the DNA exists, it sits in the studio panel and every workflow that creates a design can generate against it.

It used to be called Brand DNA. The name changed because a DNA does not have to describe a brand: you can build one for a single jacket, or for a lighting mood you want to keep across a series. The new name says what it holds, the look, not just the label.

How it works

1. Give references: upload images, or point at a web page with a clear visual direction. A consistent set works best; a scattered one gives the AI too many directions. 2. Pick the focus: brand vibe for an identity as a whole, collection direction for a season or a drop, product type to narrow onto one category. 3. Generate against it. The DNA is selected in the panel, and the designs follow it.

Why it matters for a brand

Consistency is what makes a range look like a collection and a feed look like a house. A DNA built from last season's best pieces makes next season's drafts start from there. A DNA built from a client's website lets a studio design in that client's language from the first image.
