How to Make a 360 Product Video From Two Photos With AI
10 September 2026
A 360 product video is the clip where the product turns on itself so the customer sees every side without clicking through a gallery. It used to take a motorised turntable, a light tent, a camera on a rail and an afternoon per product. Since 10 September 2026 it takes two photos on The New Black AI: the front and the back of the piece, and Product 360 makes the turn. This guide says how, what to photograph, what it costs, and where to put the clip.
What Product 360 does
You upload two photos of the same product, the front and the back. You describe the rotation in a few words, or pick a suggestion: a full slow clockwise turn, a half turn and back. You choose five or ten seconds. The workflow returns a clip on a plain white background where the product turns from the front you photographed to the back you photographed. Both sides are shown exactly as in the photos; the side you did not give is not invented.

That last point is the difference with a video generator that starts from one image and imagines the rest. A turntable is a catalogue document: the customer is deciding whether the back has a vent, where the seams sit, how long the sleeve is. It has to be true. Two photos make it true.
How to make one, step by step
1. Photograph the front and the back of the product on a plain background, ideally white, framed the same way, same distance, same light. A ghost mannequin image works particularly well: the garment already holds its shape with nobody inside, so the turn reads like a mannequin turning. 2. Open Product 360 in the studio, under Workflows, right after Reimagine your Model. 3. Upload the front, then the back, in that order. 4. Describe the rotation, or leave the suggestion. 5. Choose the length, five or ten seconds, and generate. The price in credits is on the button before you spend anything. 6. Find the clip in your grid, next to the two photos, in the same project. Publish it from there.
What to photograph, and what to avoid
- Same product, same framing, same light on both sides. The turn is only as clean as the pair.
- A plain background. White is the catalogue standard and what the clip is made on.
- Flat, on a hanger, on a mannequin or ghost mannequin: all work. On a model, the person turns with the garment, which is a job for Model Walk, not Product 360.
- Avoid a front and a back that differ in size or crop: the workflow keeps the shape of the front photo.
Where the clip goes
- Product page. Shopify accepts a video in the product gallery; the clip is published there from the Publish tab, under the product.
- Marketplace listing. Most marketplaces accept a short video as the last gallery slot.
- Stories and reels. A five second turn is a clean opener for a drop.
- Before the sample. Two photos sent by the factory become a turn you can look at with the pattern maker.
For a whole catalogue, Bulk generation runs Product 360 on up to thirty products at a time, two photos each.
What it costs
Product 360 runs on PRO AI and opens from the Pro plan, like HD 4K and the other guided video workflows. The price is shown on the Generate button: 11 credits for a 5 second clip, 22 for 10 seconds. Building the pair of photos costs nothing if you have them; if you only have a worn photo, the ghost mannequin workflow gives you the clean front for one credit.
Feature page: Product 360. The two sister workflows launched the same day: UGC Video and Model Walk, with an overview of the three.
Frequently asked questions
Can AI make a 360 product video?+
Yes, from two photos. Product 360 turns the front and the back you photographed into a turntable clip on white. It does not invent the sides you did not photograph, which is what makes it usable as a catalogue document.
How do I make my own 360 product video without a turntable?+
Photograph the front and the back of the product on a plain background, upload both to Product 360, describe the rotation, choose five or ten seconds, generate. The clip lands in your studio grid and publishes to your store from there.
Do I need a ghost mannequin image first?+
No, but it helps: a ghost mannequin front and back give the cleanest turn, because the garment already holds its worn shape. From a worn photo, the ghost mannequin workflow makes that image for one credit.
Can I put the clip on my Shopify product page?+
Yes. Shopify product galleries accept video; publish the clip under its product from the Publish tab of the studio, or let an AI agent do it for the whole catalogue.
Which formats and lengths?+
Auto keeps the shape of the front photo, or 4:3. Five or ten seconds.
