Tech Pack Canvas: Flat Sketch and Callouts
The canvas is where the flat sketch of the garment lives, with its callouts. You can place your own flat or a photo, write text on it, draw the sketch with AI from the photos of the piece, and add callouts: measure lines set on exact points of the sketch, each one tied to a measure of the size chart, its code shown on the line.

How it works
Put a drawing on the canvas
Place an image puts a picture on the canvas: your own flat sketch, a photo of the piece, a detail shot. Create an image with AI draws the flat sketch for you from the photos of the garment, front or front and back, for one credit per sketch.
Add callouts: measure lines
Add a callout drops a measure line on the sketch. Set its two ends on the exact points you measure between, shoulder seam to shoulder seam, armpit to armpit, and pull its middle to bend it along a curve, a neckline or an armhole. Its menu picks the measure it marks from the size chart, and the code (CH, SL, SW…) shows under the middle of the line, on the outer side of the curve. Change its colour (red by default), its weight, or hide the tag for a plain line.
Keep the codes and the table in step
The codes on the canvas are the codes of the size chart. Each measure line takes its code from the size chart, so a callout on the sketch is a row the factory looks up in the table. Same code, same name, one truth.
Text on the canvas
Add text writes directly on the canvas: a label, a stitch reference, a note for the factory, the name of a trim. Keep it short; the long explanations belong in the construction section of the sheet, where they print with the text.

Frequently asked questions
Does the canvas cost credits?+
No. Placing images, writing text and adding callouts are free. Only Create an image with AI, the flat sketch drawn from photos, costs one credit per sketch.
Can I use my own flat sketch?+
Yes. Place an image accepts your own drawing, a photo, or a creation from the studio. The image to flat sketch workflow turns a garment photo into a clean flat if you need one first.
What does a measure line look like?+
A line with a point at each end and a tag in the middle: you place the ends on the sketch, bend the line from its middle, and choose its colour (red by default), its weight and whether the code shows. The tag always sits on the outer side of the curve, so it never covers the garment.
How do callouts relate to the size chart?+
By their code. A measure line's menu lists the measures of the size chart, and the one you pick puts its code on the line: CH on the sketch is the CH row of the table, never a code typed by hand.
