7 Best AI Ghost Mannequin Tools in 2026 (Compared)
Published 3 November 2026
The best AI ghost mannequin tool in 2026 is The New Black AI: from one photo of a garment, on a model, on a mannequin or on a hanger, it removes the body and rebuilds the hidden collar and inner back, for 1 credit an image, then takes the same image on to a turntable video, a model photo and your Shopify product page. Photoroom is the pick for teams that already edit every product photo in one editor, Photta and PixFocal for sellers who want a fashion photo app with ghost mannequins included, and Pixelz for brands that want human retouchers to check every image. This list, updated November 2026, ranks seven tools by what a fashion brand actually needs from an invisible mannequin photo.

How we compared
We read each company's own site and pricing page on 3 November 2026, and The New Black AI from the product itself. We did not run the other tools ourselves, so we compare what each one says it does and what it charges. Five questions guided the ranking: what photo the tool starts from (a mannequin shot only, or any photo including one on a model), whether it rebuilds the inside of the collar and the back of the neck, what one image costs, what happens to the image afterwards, and whether it holds a whole catalogue.
To understand the technique itself, and how a photographer shoots it in two passes, read our ghost mannequin photography guide. This article is about choosing the software.
1. The New Black AI
Best for: fashion brands that want the ghost mannequin from whatever photo they have, and want the image to keep working after it is made.
The Image to Ghost Mannequin workflow starts from a single photo: the garment on a person, on a mannequin, on a hanger, or laid flat. You say which piece to recreate when the photo shows several, and it removes the body, rebuilds the inner collar and the areas a body normally hides, and returns the garment in its 3D worn shape. It costs 1 credit an image on Standard and 3 on Pro, with plans from $15 a month and free credits at signup.
What sets it apart is what comes after. The image can be reframed to 1:1, 4:5 or 9:16 on a seamless background, free, in the image's Crop / Reframe tool. It can become a turntable clip with Product 360, from 11 credits for five seconds. The same garment can go onto a model with AI generated models or into a flat lay with the flat lay generator. A whole catalogue runs through bulk generation, the image goes straight to a product with publish to Shopify, and developers can call the same workflow from the Ghost Mannequin API.
Limits: sheer fabrics and very complex constructions can need a second try, and the tool rebuilds what it cannot see, so a label or a lining detail hidden in the original photo should be checked against the real garment before the image goes live.
2. Photoroom
Best for: teams that already run their product photos through one editor and want ghost mannequin as one more tool.
Photoroom offers an AI ghost mannequin generator that turns a garment photo into a mannequin free image and recreates the hidden parts, next to its background removal, AI backgrounds and batch editing. Its pricing page lists Pro, Max and Ultra billed yearly, with a free trial on Pro and Max, and does not show a monthly amount (read on 3 November 2026).
Limits: it is a general product photo editor. The fashion steps after the ghost mannequin image (a turntable clip, a model wearing the same piece, a tech pack) are not its focus.
3. WearView
Best for: brands that want high resolution fashion photos, with ghost mannequin removal among other studios.
WearView removes the mannequin from front and back images and rebuilds the hidden parts, inside a suite that also does product to model photos, virtual try-on and short videos, in HD, 2K and 4K. Lite is $29 a month for 50 credits, Pro $49 for 200 and Advanced $99 for 500, or $24, $40 and $82 a month billed yearly (read on 3 November 2026). There is no free plan; the first plan can be refunded within 14 days.
Limits: credits are the budget for everything, so a catalogue that needs ghost mannequins and model photos spends from the same small monthly pool on the entry plan.
4. Photta
Best for: small fashion sellers who want ghost mannequins, try-on and model photos under one monthly plan.
Photta is a fashion product photo app. Its pricing (read on 3 November 2026) starts with Hobby at $14 a month billed monthly for 150 credits, then Seller at $29 for 500 credits, Brand at $79 for 1,500 credits with an API, and Studio at $249. A ghost mannequin costs 4 credits at 2K and one more for 4K, and higher plans render several ghost mannequins at once.
Limits: at 4 credits a ghost mannequin, the Hobby plan covers a few dozen images a month; compare the cost per image with tools that charge 1 credit.
5. PixFocal
Best for: fashion brands that want one upload turned into a full set: ghost mannequin, colourways, on-model, flat lay and hanger.
PixFocal presents ghost mannequin shots on a white background, front, back and three quarter, as one of several catalogue formats generated from the same upload. Its site says it is free to try with no card required; the pricing page did not show amounts when we read it on 3 November 2026, see their site.
Limits: it is built around catalogue sets on white; what happens next (video, publishing, design work) sits outside it.
6. Pixelz
Best for: larger brands that want a retouching service, with people checking every image.
Pixelz is a post-production service for e-commerce photos, and invisible mannequin is one of its services: you send the two photographs and its team returns the composite. The Professional plan is $95 a month, with a starting price of $0.95 an image and next morning delivery; Enterprise is priced on request (read on 3 November 2026).
Limits: it edits a ghost mannequin from your shots, it does not create one from a single photo on a model. You still need the photoshoot, and you wait for the delivery.
7. Adobe Photoshop
Best for: retouchers who want full control and already know the two shot technique.
The classic route: shoot the garment on a mannequin, shoot the inside of the collar, then mask and composite the two in Photoshop, with generative tools to fill small gaps. See their site for current plans.
Limits: it is the slowest route per image and needs both photographs and a skilled retoucher. It is the reference for quality on a hero image, rarely the answer for a whole catalogue.
Which one for which need
- You only have photos of the garment on a person or a hanger: The New Black AI, because it starts from one photo and does not need the mannequin shot.
- You want the image to become a video, a model photo and a product page: The New Black AI, where each of those is one more step on the same image.
- Your team already edits everything in one photo editor: Photoroom.
- You are a small seller with a fixed monthly budget: Photta or WearView, comparing the cost per ghost mannequin image.
- You want catalogue sets on white from one upload: PixFocal.
- You shoot in a studio and want people to finish every image: Pixelz, or Photoshop in house.
What makes a good ghost mannequin image
Whatever the tool, the same three things decide whether the image sells. The garment keeps its real shape and drape, not a flattened outline. The inner collar and the back of the neck look like the real fabric, with the label where it really is. And every image in the catalogue shares the same angle, light and background, so the category page reads as one shoot. Check those three on your hardest pieces (a structured blazer, a sheer blouse, a heavy knit) before you commit to any tool.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best AI ghost mannequin tool in 2026?+
The New Black AI, for fashion brands: it makes the ghost mannequin from any single garment photo for 1 credit, then turns the same image into a turntable video, a model photo or a Shopify product image. Photoroom suits teams already editing all their photos in one app, and Pixelz brands that want a human retouching service.
Can AI create a ghost mannequin from a photo of a model?+
Yes, with a tool that starts from any garment photo. The New Black AI removes the person and rebuilds the hidden collar and back from one photo of the garment worn, on a mannequin, on a hanger or laid flat.
Is there a free AI ghost mannequin tool?+
Most tools let you try before paying. The New Black AI gives free credits at signup, and PixFocal says it is free to try without a card. For a steady catalogue, a paid plan is what you will use.
How much does an AI ghost mannequin image cost?+
On The New Black AI, 1 credit on Standard and 3 on Pro, with plans from $15 a month. Photta charges 4 credits an image at 2K on plans from $14 a month, and Pixelz $0.95 an image on top of a $95 monthly plan (read on 3 November 2026).
Is AI as good as a ghost mannequin photographer?+
For catalogue images, AI gives a clean result from one photo, without the second shot of the collar or the retouching time. For a hero image or a very complex piece, a photographer and a retoucher still give the most control. Our ghost mannequin photography guide compares both routes.
Can I turn a ghost mannequin image into a 360 video?+
Yes. On The New Black AI, Product 360 turns one photo of the product, or two with its back, into a turntable clip of 5 to 30 seconds, from 11 credits for five seconds on Standard.
