How we compared

We read each vendor's own site and pricing page: Botika, WearView and Pebblely on 3 November 2026, Photoroom, Claid and Uwear in November 2026, SellerPic, Modelia and fashn.ai in September 2026, each dated in its section. We compared what a fashion store needs from its product images: which input each tool accepts (a flat lay, a ghost mannequin, a hanger shot, a photo on a model), which images come out (on-model, packshot, background, video), whether the same model can stay across a catalogue, what a realistic month costs, and whether the image reaches the product page without downloading and uploading it again. We did not run a lab test of every tool. We are on the list ourselves; the limits we name for The New Black AI are real.

1. The New Black AI

Best for: fashion stores that want every product image and video in one account, published straight to Shopify.

The New Black AI covers the images an online fashion store needs, each as its own workflow:

  • On-model photos. Product to model puts a flat lay, a hanger shot or a ghost mannequin photo on an AI model you choose, and swap model changes the person while the clothes stay.
  • Packshots. A ghost mannequin image or a clean flat lay from a photo of the garment worn.
  • Try-on. Virtual try-on dresses your own model in your pieces.
  • Video. A product video from one photo, or a product 360.
  • The store. The Shopify app publishes images and videos to a product page, and the images can also go to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest and YouTube from the same workspace.

A photo costs 1 credit on Standard and 3 on Pro, whether it is on-model, ghost mannequin, flat lay, background or try-on; video costs 2.2 credits a second on Standard and 4.4 on Pro. Every workflow is open on every plan, 4K starts on Pro, and plans start at $15 a month. A Visual style keeps the same look across a whole catalogue.

Limits: the Shopify connection is the one built today; a store on another platform downloads its images and uploads them itself.

2. Botika

Best for: on-model catalogue photos for e-commerce, shot in batches.

Botika does one thing well: on-model product photos from a garment photo, with a model library that includes teen and kid models, plus retouching and background colours. Its Pro plan is $46 a month billed yearly for 600 credits a year, which Botika describes as over 240 photos a year, with a free trial and enterprise pricing above (read on 3 November 2026).

Limits: a yearly credit budget suits a catalogue shot once a season more than a store that launches every week. Video is not its focus.

3. WearView

Best for: high resolution on-model photos up to 4K.

WearView puts your clothing on an AI model from a garment photo, in HD, 2K and 4K, with try-on on every plan and short videos from Pro. Lite is $29 a month for 50 credits, Pro $49 for 200 and Advanced $99 for 500, or $24, $40 and $82 a month billed yearly (read on 3 November 2026). There is no free plan, but the first plan can be refunded within 14 days.

Limits: it is a photo studio; the steps around the image, publishing included, are left to you.

4. Photoroom

Best for: teams already editing product photos at volume who want a model option alongside.

Photoroom is best known for background removal and batch product photo editing. Its AI Fashion Models feature dresses a mannequin shot on a generated model, included in the Pro, Max and Ultra plans, billed yearly with a free trial on Pro and Max; amounts depend on your region (read in November 2026).

Limits: the model is one tool inside a photo editor; keeping the same person across a collection is less central than in a fashion first tool.

5. Claid

Best for: turning flat lays into on-model images inside a wider product photo suite.

Claid offers AI fashion models, flat lay to model, model backgrounds and fashion video, next to upscaling and background tools, on the web and through an API. It has a free trial, then Essentials, Pro and Business plans (read in November 2026; see their site for current prices).

Limits: a general product photo suite; fashion steps such as try-on on your own model or the tech pack are not its focus.

6. Pebblely

Best for: simple, styled product scenes on a small budget.

Pebblely places a product photo into a styled scene from more than 40 background themes or a custom prompt. Lite is $9 a month for 30 images, Basic $19 for 200 and Pro $39 for 500, with two months free on yearly plans (read on 3 November 2026).

Limits: it is built for objects on a set, not for clothing on a person; it does not put a garment on a model.

7. SellerPic

Best for: turning one product photo into a batch of social and video assets.

SellerPic turns a product photo into model shots, lifestyle scenes, multi-angle views and lip-sync video aimed at TikTok and Reels, with a native Shopify app. Plans started around $29 a month for roughly 500 credits (read in September 2026).

Limits: less precise pose and lighting control than more specialised studios, and no locked model identity across a whole catalogue.

8. Modelia

Best for: trying AI models for free before paying.

Modelia has a free Starter plan with full access to its tools and paid plans above it. A model image costs 3 credits, 6 in 4K, and a ten second video 40 credits (read in September 2026).

Limits: at 3 credits an image, compare the paid volume with tools that charge 1 credit.

9. fashn.ai

Best for: teams that want virtual try-on and model swap inside their own product, through an API.

fashn.ai offers virtual try-on, model swap, product to model, packshots and image to video as API endpoints, plus a web app and a mobile app. Plans were $19 a month for 200 credits, $49 for 750 and $99 for 1,500, with credits that roll over (read in September 2026).

Limits: no plug and play Shopify app; a developer connects it to the store.

10. Uwear

Best for: stores that want to pay per image with no subscription.

Uwear generates on-model photos, shop the look images, try-on and video from clothing photos. Credits cost $0.10, a photo costs from 2 credits, credits never expire, and the minimum purchase is $7 (read in November 2026). A trial photoshoot of two products from your store link lets you judge first.

Limits: simple at small volumes; at a steady weekly volume a subscription often costs less per image.
